Long before Comedian Donny Palicki started making people laugh in comedy clubs across the Midwest, before he wrote hit parody songs like Big Puppy The Lonely Bra and The Eat My Butt Song, before he championed and performed such charity events as The Laugh Olympics to benefit athletes with special needs and Rockin the Mic for Hurricane Ike Relief, well before he headlined The Crazy Sexy Comedy Tour…he was performing. “In grade school I never sat in the same seat for more than a week. The teachers would move me around hoping that would stop me from messing around with who they thought were my best friends in the class. The joke was on them because I would mess with whoever they would put me by, new seat, new best friend!” says Donny about his childhood.  But now he’s come a long way from tripping over desks, walking into doors and drawing inappropriate pictures in his texts books.

Donny P brings everything he has to the stage, an infectious energy, always getting the crowd involved. He has an uncanny sense of empathy not only with people and animals but inanimate objects as well.  And just when he’s got you on the ropes with laughter he hits you with one of his lyrically potent parody songs.

Most patrons who see Donny Palicki for the first time come away from his show as true fans.  “You just kind of feel like you know him” says Laura Spiess.  This comedian from the Glass City of Toledo Ohio is working his way onto stages in clubs across the country.  If he hasn’t performed in your town, it’s just a matter of time before he does.

Donny is also heard every morning all across The United States and in over a dozen countries across the world on ‘The Peoples Show’ with Andrew Zepeda, Brandon Doriot, Calen Savidge, Gay Steve and more!

Donny also hosts ‘Wednesday Night Live’ an internet radio/tv show unlike any other found on the web. With Brent MacCormack, Mark Frederick, Owen Thomas, Jason Kelley and Ashley Hazlett!

Nathan Kime

When Nathan Kime first started comedy, his mom had to accompany him to the bars. Now, he’s old enough to stay out after the streetlights turn on. Nathan Kime has rocked everyone in the Midwest with relatable topics and an attitude everyone can enjoy. Cheryl Henke

This Ohio Native, is pleased to bring her clean, funny ’40-something’ comedy to the stage in NW Ohio at STAND UP TOLEDO.  She started her comedy career in college and has traveled across the country performing to audiences in clubs, for organizations and in comedy contests.  Proudly awarded the ’3rd Funniest Comedian in Akron,’ winner of the Alzheimer Foundation’s Comedy Showcase in Toledo and most recently performed for a fundraiser in Bowling Green, Ohio….what’s next on her rocket to stardom–one can only imagine!

Kool Keith

Comedian Kool Keith’s earliest performances date back to the classrooms from elementary to college. Comedy for Kool Keith is a 7th sense. It’s life. …the good, bad, ugly and definitely the FUNNY! Kool Keith has been blessed to perform with notable Comedians such as: Chili Challis, Damon Williams, Andy Hendrickson, Tyler Craig & others. In this “L.O.L.” age we live in, Comeidan Kool Keith’s goal is to make you laugh the old-fashioned way–OUT LOUD!

Kool Keith is a member of the L.O.L. Comedy Group (L.O.L.C.G.). L.O.L.C.G. is comprised of comedians from both Ohio & Michigan who’s quest is to revive people’s interest in standup comedy. Uniquely enough, L..O.L.C.G. does more than tell jokes. They are comedians who share experiences, views, & true feelings about life topics. They value the “art” of making you laugh.

Kool Keith has performed @The Funny Bone & Connxtions Comedy Clubs in Toledo, OH & other clubs, bars, & showers throughout the Midwest. You can hear Kool Keith on FM 88.3 WXUT (Univ. of Toledo) as the Co-Host on an online radio show called “The Session” (www.wxut.com). Keith has comedy DVDs available, showcasing stand-up performances, character sketches, pure silliness!

Steve Cathcart

Steve is a professional comic with a diverse style of stand up. A man of few words but plenty of impact. This Midwest comic has been entertaining crowds for several years and consistently delivers.

Koesters is working on graduating with a degree in theatre from Bowling Green State University (December 2011). During her college career, she was a member of the Plastic Shatners, a short form comedy improv troupe, and acted in several comedic roles on the campus. She has been performing stand-up comedy for roughly a year at various open-mics and events around Ohio, including Aniccoustics 2011. Outside of comedy, Koesters has a job working with kids, creating/selling artwork, modeling, publishing her first children’s book, and performing various acting jobs wherever she can find them.

She’s also a female stand-up comedian… so she’s got that going for her.

Corey W. King

For the past 6 years, Corey W. King has performed his hilarious stand up act all across the country at clubs, colleges, and even bowling alley basements. Often times using his own children as the basis for his material, Corey s act takes a realistic view on life everyone can relate to.

A long time member of the Andrew Z in the Morning Show, Corey is not afraid of being the butt of a joke, making fun of himself or his life misfortunes.

Corey has been lucky enough to perform stand up comedy with some of the funniest comedians in the world including Bruce Bruce, Kevin Hart, Daniel Tosh, and Tommy Davidson. He has also produced dozens of comedy shows giving many up and coming comedians their start in the business.

Every time Corey steps on stage there is something new in his constantly building act.  Amazing at improvisation and a go with the flow attitude make Corey W. King a comedian to truly watch out for!

Mark Frederick

Mark Frederick, six time Tour de France 38th place runner up, and “Reader’s Digest Funniest Man of the Last 13 Years,” was born in 1978, nine months after his mom and dad had some sex. Mark is married to a non-relative by the name of Nicole, and they have a daughter together, named Elyse. A little known fact about Mark is that he has this weird dislike for lettuce. Ask him. His denial only makes the truth more profound and sad. Mark has been doing stand-up for about eight months and he think it’s the absolute tits.

Mark, a long time champion for celibacy, started his rise to comedic glory doing it
the hard way: open-mics. His first time was at Tequila Sheila’s in downtown Toledo, then he’d make the 40 mile round trip from Toledo to Bowling Green and do more open-mics down there, perfecting his craft. Just a few weeks after that, he played the Funny Bone and was the funniest guy to take the stage. He even put together a showcase of comedians at Fricker’s in Maumee. Once a week, Mark and his friend Donny P. co-host the “Wednesday Night Live” podcast, where they share many laughs. And many more tears.

When Mark’s not campaigning and championing the cause for celibacy, which isn’t very often, he likes to spend time with his wife, his child, and talk to his dad, Mark Sr., who lives in California. Mark enjoys talking to all who will listen to the merits of celibacy.

Jake Dickey

Jake dickey is a fast rising star in the world of Toledo comedy, a finalist in many comedy competitions around the Midwest. Jake Dickey not only sharpens his skills at several open mics around the Greater Toledo Area, he also hosts Wise-Ass Wednesdays at Connxtions Comedy Club.  Currently performs on the Demetrius Nicodemus d-tour, and all over the Midwest. A very talented and a “must see” comedian in the Toledo comedy scene.

Brandon Doriot

24 year old Toledo native Brandon Doriot in no simple terms is sexual dynamite. This man is so fertile when shaking hands with him the average woman is likely to be at least 3 days late on her next menstrual cycle. Legend has is that young Brandon once rescued a schoolbus full of small orphan children from certain death in the jaws of a rabid mountain lion, by lulling it to sleep with his rendition of Lady GaGa’s “Bad Romance”. A deaf child later called his version “BREHFTAHGEEN” But don’t let rugged voice fool you, Brandon has a sensitive side. He’s been called the unofficial poet laureate of South Toledo (mainly that area of town behind the Zoo near the river). This smoking bachelor is no stranger to the stage either, his stand-up routines have been called “Worth the $3 cover” by numerous Toledo-ites. Before the constellation change he was Sagittarius and still claims that status in order to have something in common with Duane “The Rock” Johnson (The Tooth Fairy, Escape from Witch Mountain , That New Fast and Furious Movie). His favorite food is guacamole. Some say Brandon has “never met a a homeless person he respected” Toledo , you be the judge.

Joey Barone

Although rather new to the local stand up comedy scene, Toledo native Joey Barone commands laughter with the stage presence and quick-wit of a seasoned veteran.  Only 24 years old, Joey is one of the fastest breakout students of Chili Challis’ (host) Comedy Dojo.

Joey says he got his start in stand up after his friends played a joke on him by secretly signing him up for an open mic while he had been heavily drinking in the audience.   His love for both attention and drunken challenges pushed him up on the stage that night, and well, the rest is history.

In a short span of only six months, Joey has performed at various local open mics around Toledo and Bowling Green, competed in amateur comedy contests in Bowling Green and Toledo, and even has packed comedy clubs like the Funny Bone in Perrysburg and Headliners for Chili’s Comedy Dojo Graduation Shows.  His topics hit hilariously close to home for young 20-somethings, in which he discusses his frustrations with the job market, moving back in with his mom and her horrible home work-out routines.

In early December, Joey worked with his mentor Chili Challis to organize and even MC the area’s first “Food for Laughs” comedy show to raise money and canned goods for the Toledo NW Ohio Food Bank for Christmas.   Not bad for a newbie, eh?

In that same short time, Joey has also managed to establish himself as a regular guest-personality on the Andrew Z in the Morning radio show on 100.7 The Vibe, where he’s known as “The Comedy Intern.” Doing everything from prank-calling his 92 year old “Grandma Rosie” over the airwaves, to blatantly poking fun at Toledo’s most tolerant demographics at events like “Greek Fest Toledo” and “Occupy Wall Street Toledo” rallies (click Joey’s photo to hear some of his radio broadcasts on YouTube), Joey has swiftly and deservingly made a name for himself as one of  Toledo’s fastest up-and-coming young comedians.
